When I was studying English and I didn't know how to say something (I still do it now), I say the same thing in different words. That is totally fine.
The thing is, in this case, I would feel much better toward helping them out if they`d tried to translate it on their own. Even if their translation was terrible, it would show that they`d put forth the effort to do their own work.
As it is, they`re really just cheating. I think it`s regrettable that they`ll pass based on someone else`s work.
