My suggestion is if you don't know the exact idiomati expression in Japanese, just walk around them. When I was studying English and I didn't know how to say something (I still do it now), I say the same thing in different words. So for example where it says "the food belongs to the floor" you can simply say "the food that fell".

That is totally fine.
The thing is, in this case, I would feel much better toward helping them out if they`d tried to translate it on their own. Even if their translation was terrible, it would show that they`d put forth the effort to do their own work.
As it is, they`re really just cheating. I think it`s regrettable that they`ll pass based on someone else`s work.
