This struck me one day when I ventured into a small store in Nara for brunch.

I was with my American colleague and I said "Dave, what the hell is American coffee". He didn't know..

So what is it? Does it mean weak coffee?

Is branding food and beverage items in Asia "American" a "normal" thing?

I can only imagine what may come next..

"George Bush Lemon Juice"

"Obama Cola"

"Cruise Missile Tea"

"M-16 Beer"

etc.
