And another.....
Riding Through Darkness
Riding through the darkness
On a cold and lonely night
He cannot see the road
Let alone moonlight
Shadows follow him everywhere
Stalking his every move
And the echoing beats haunt him
From his horse’s hooves
The creaking of the crickets
The hooting of an owl
Fills the woods with thoughts
Of animals on the prowl
He rides alone in darkness
With everything to fear
Of animals, ghosts, and goblins
And hauntings coming near
The wind begins to pick up
Sending chills down his spine
He looks around the woods
But can barely see a pine
The breaking of a twig
Has his heart begin to race
With the shaking of his hands
A look of fear upon his face
And a dark and eerie voice
Begins to whisper in his ear
“I will come out and get you
If you don’t get out of here…”
But he just kept on riding
Trying to keep himself calm
Too bad it didn’t work this time
A cold sweat in his palm
That’s when he heard the noise
Behind him a sort of ring
Of hoof-beats coming closer
He turned to see nothing
Now shaking in his boots
As a wind blows up a chill
The poor scared man is riding
Get out of here he will
But he goes too fast too late
He never left the wood
The haunting of trees got him
His courage never stood
So when riding through the darkness
On a cold and lonely night
When you can’t see the road
Let alone moonlight
Shadows will follow you everywhere
And take heed to listen to
The hoof-beats coming closer
And the voice that will get you
(inspired by Sleepy Hallow.......tee hee)
If love is stupid, then I stupid you!
An Apple A Day Keeps Anyone Away If You Throw It Hard Enough...
