You typically don't use ます form anywhere in the sentence except the last verb, if even there.
旅行が好きじゃないから、行きません。
Granted, people do use ます form elsewhere for a formalish effect (or to sound like an idiot, depending on context: I'm looking at you, little pocket robot from Chobits), but I wouldn't worry about that at this stage in your learning.
