wow, a bunch of mixed views. In the begging, I was a bit skeptical about the whole concept (being of african american descent) I didn'tquite understand it. However, I've come to find that I actualy really enjoy the fashion. Ganguro is an older term that is rarely used. Now, all these styles fall under the 'Gyaru' genre, each with a subcatgory. There are many different versions of this style and as it was mentioned before, its more about the attitude and rejectiong social norms and such. I'm more of an outrageous person myself and I personaly prefer post-2004 manba and banaba. That just floats my boat. I also love decora and oshare-kei fashion which quite a few people dislike as well. Everyone has their own tastes and such. I kinda of find it ironic how there is such a rejection towards this style when vie-style is often rejected itself.
Just had to put my two cents in there~
