if you feel like hanging out with complete strangers and not being judged, try meetup.com. find a group of interest, and hang out with people! i joined a snowboarding group and we get group deals on lift tickets, hotels/cabins, and we eat lunch together. it's fun, you do what you do, and you meet people if you want.
