When I was in high school my geometry teacher said our kids would be learning the metric system by the time their in school, but that's what my mom was told when she was a kid too. Pretty much all other countries use the metric system except for us, it's kind of embrassing. Sure, it would be hard to learn at first but after awhile you'd get use to it. I dont really understand why it would be embarrassing. A pain in the butt and inconvenient at timesyes. I have traveled a lot and iv never felt embarrassed about the system the US uses.
