If you don't know who this guy is, he is the guy formerly known as the host of Takeshi's Castle.
I see 3 possibilities:
1. Higashikokubara regroups the disgrunted LDP outcasts to form a new party.
2. Higashikokubara influences within the LDP politics.
3. Higashikokubara joins DPJ.
Either ways, the current LDP that we know today will be dissolved sooner or later. Worst case scenario: LDP will be gone and there will be 2-3 successor parties.
