Thanks Nagoyankee, I appreciate your replies.

In the picture, if I didn't know what that was, I would assume it is curry udon (atleast that is what it looks like).

I guess they put a lot of red miso in it to give it a dark color and make it have a thicker consistency than just straight dashi soup.
