Prelude to Insanity

Burning,
Itching,
Longing,
That one feels away from their love
Is a pain that will never fade.
It will exist until the end of days
And rot the person to their core.
Why anyone would willingly
Accept this fate
One cannot simply understand.
Craving,
Yearning,
Desiring,
All comes as a price for love.
Insanity takes away all that someone was.
So why did I insist on
This fate.
