In the US, you take them to your house. The only people who go to hotels are people who have sex with sleezy hookers (they go to sleezy motels) and married couples who want to get away from their house for a night. Also high schoolers who want to have sex after prom. And, of course, people out of town.
To an American not familiar with Japan, your question would sound very odd. The American would probably ask "Why do you want to meet them at a hotel instead of a restaurant or just have them come to your place?"
Having someone come and meet you at a hotel doesn't count as a "date" in English.
