why do u think that Oni/Yokai is a constant theme in such animes?

either because of xintoism and the jap core culture or are they just creepy who like to scare the crap out of viewers?

besides, if there's any native jap here, i'd like to know how such animes are seen by you guys, somehow it seems to be more mainstream and natural for u to talk about those themes than for us westerns
