Missed this thread last year. That's just incredibly disturbing, but not as disturbing as the short sentences each boy received.

So that's how the Japanese system works, eh? Just because they were juveniles, they technically were allowed to get away with it.

I find it even more sad that because of how powerful the Yakuza is, that the parents who owned the house that the girl was being held captive in, didn't help her or those who knew or suspected something was wrong didn't help.

To be capable of committing such a crime is grounds to me for life imprisonment. No remorse was shown for the crime, which shows, to me anyway, that they could commit the same crime again without thinking twice about it.
