There can be a lot of harm in it. There have been a lot of situations where people go online and try to make "friends," and then are manipulated and attacked physically, mentally, emotionally... Sorry, but I just don't trust the Internet. It's the perfect "place" for all of those strange men in trenchcoats holding candy. Except you can't see the trenchcoats or the candy.
Also - I don't know you, at all, so this is just speculation... but if you're having so many problems at home, then it's not a matter of whether all eyes are on you or not... People look for friends in strangers when they don't feel like they have that emotional stability most people need, because they're looking for that support group. So - again, this is just speculation - but it would make sense if you decided to come online to find that support and attention.

It isn't that serious really..its an A or B thing. What if I was one strange men in a trench coat? Are you saying I'm trying to seek emotion help on the internet?
