Ayaan Hirsi Ali
Born in Somalia, raised in Somalia, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia.
Escaped to Holland from an arranged marriage. Discovered the freedom the West offers and discovered the oppurtunities that, as a woman growing up in an Islamic country, she never dreamed of having.
She went on to become a Dutch MP and is now an atheist and one of Islam's fiercest critics. As a result she is now under heavy security protection as there a fatwah (religiously sanctioned assassination) has been issued against her.
Anyone who is interested should read her autobiography titled Infidel. It tells of her childhood and some of the very extreme and backwards ideas she was exposed to.
