I was referring to the usage of the word and racial slurs (which is what this thread is about) , hate crimes/discrimination is something else.
I don't consider hate crimes any different than any other type of murder.

I like that. Hate crimes aren't any different from murder.
There is discrimination, though. For example, Henry Louis Gates Jr., a black prestigious Harvard professor, was recently arrested for being inside of his own home. There were children at a pool in Pennsylvania who were people of color, and who were asked to leave because they "changed the complexion" of the pool. There were also reports of other little white children asking their parents, "Mommy, why are there black people here?"
It's true that people can sue, but what if the jury also discriminates?
