I wouldn't say this guy is really a "hero" to me, but I agree with what he was fighting for.

Abd el-Krim; was the Berber leader of the Rif, a Berber area of northeastern Morocco. He became the leader of a wide scale armed resistance movement against French and Spanish colonial rule in North Africa. His guerilla tactics are known to have inspired Ho Chi Minh, Mao Zedong, and Che Guevara!

Very limited information on Wiki, or any English websites for that matter. But it does give a basic overview of who he was!
