I think arguing any further is a lost cause. We all know what it's like to be a teenager and have your mind set on doing something the rest of the world recognizes are asinine. It's part of the rebellious stage! Let him do it, and worse comes to worst he realizes it's a horrible idea and apologizes, or he winds up in the hospital and we don't hear about it again anyway.
