Your friend does not know any Japanese, and he's trying to look cool.
Next time you see him, laugh in his face and tell him he's far from it.
It is gibberish. The sound "we" has not existed in Japanese for a long time. Also, "desu" would not appear in the middle of a sentence. Also, your friend should not use "desu" with you anyway.
And how old are you that you've been studying Japanese since you were four or five years old but cannot realize that?
