I personally think that is a rather sad state of America. Him winning the Nobel Peace Prize was a shock to me, as I am sure it was to many other people (the president included), but I wasn't angry and didn't hate him for winning such an award. I think it is a great achievement and is representative of how the US is changing in the world's eyes for the better.

That's just it... there was no achievement. A bunch of socialists got together and chose "Socialist of the Year" without a care in the world about real accomplishments or achievements. It was a popularity contest. And it was not America's popularity that they considered, it was Obama's and his far left agenda that they were rewarding/encouraging. How in the world is that a good or beneficial thing? I don't care if Obama is awarded "Lefty of the Year", but the real shame is that many people and organizations out there, trying to help people, could have benefited from this and didn't because of a political popularity contest. That's what's sad.
