I'm not justifying their actions... I'm disagreeing with the punishment. I thought "the customer is always right" applied to the US, this is why I think that it's a huge overreaction by the manager. I've experienced worse when working in a games shop and have never called the police. The only time the police came anywhere near our shop because of a customer was when a customer spat a a colleague of mine and tried starting a fight! And we've had it all... Customers kicking down our shelves, swearing and even threatening us!
