If you are flying into Japan and the laptop is yours and for your personal use and not for sale - then you should have no problem at all. You have already bought the item and paid taxes on it.
Inside Japan, if you wish to buy something new without paying tax (duty free) then there will be limitations on what you can buy.

It does not apply to personal items you already bought and paid taxes for outside of Japan.
