Nyororin will tell you it isn't that simple, and it is a long and drawn out process.
I have never heard of a job where Japanese is required asking for anything less than a level 1. However, I am not in the job market right now, so maybe things have changed.
I would say getting married to live in Japan temporarily is not a good idea. If you and your girlfriend were both planning to move to Japan permanently, then I would say you are on to something, but if she is going back to school in the US until 2013, I don't think you will be able to live in Japan without here there.
