Personally though I think it's a great genre, it's usually quite romantic and interesting, and personally normal 'romance' genres in anime (especially yuri) seem to be quite two-dimensonal and cliche. . . Not that yaoi can't be cliche either of course, but generally it seems to be a lot deeper :P
