The US runs on cheap fuel, so? There is no need to "level" any playing field with Europe, it's their own fault they aren't at the same level. Forceing a better team to handcuff themselves to "level" the playing field is nuts. Why should the Colts leave Peyton on the bench if the other team doesn't have a good Quarterback? That isn't the Colts problem.

"Level" playing field is why Baseball established different leagues, that way you didn't have any issues with some teams being well above other teams in skill. You don't force Major Leaguers into AAA or AA teams, just so those AAA and AA teams can have a "level" field, that isn't fair to the higher quality players either. If you prevent people from achievement then nothing is achieved.
