I live in Portugal, a generally Catholic country. In a country where if you wear a mini-skirt to the point of showing your buttcheeks, you will be considered, by the majority, a slut.
But why if you wear a mini-skirt, to the point of showing your buttcheeks, would the majority consider you a slut? Because they were programmed, since they were born, according to the society's believes/concepts/and whatnot.

Same happens if you dress all black. People from my country, generally speaking, will call you a Goth/Satanist/Metal-head/Punk. They will Stereotype you that way. Why? Because they were programmed, since they were born, according to the society's believes/concepts/and whatnot.

If the society dictates that people dressing yellow means they are murderes, the majority will see people dressing yellow as murderes.

So, society molds the individual, generally speaking. Thats the only way i can put it out.

Too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like.
