It seems a lot of people hate the phrase but I like the saying.

Whatever religion you are or aren't and whatever you believe or celebrate, it speaks to everyone.
Even if you just apply it to something like "happy random day off school/work"
I am Athiest but celebrate christmas with my family as a tradition and culture thing, as I guess a lot of British people do these days.
On the whole Muslim/Merry Christmas thing,in the past my muslim friends get me xmas cards, I always wish them happy Eid, may have given a card or two, hey sometimes we even exchange presents! Never realised there was such a school of thought against this
I wouldn't be offended if someone wished me a Happy Eid/Hannukah/kwansa/Diwali/Easter, anything and I believe in none of them, It doesn't bother me people presume I am Christian..if they don't know me so well, just ergh I don't get why some people get all miserable about it all. Guess it is your right to be a big grinchy if you want.
Everyone has something negative to say about the commercial aspect of Christmas, yet, in some countries at least, it is now fully a part of the culture and there is no point in fighting and being anarchists over it all, if you don't wanna join in,just don't, but don't come poop allover a thread with a happy theme!
