Well, my fiancee and I went to our favorite Japanese restaurant here in Austin for New Years. (Celebrated a little later because I work nights.) I tend to go for the "series of small things" she tends to go for the more traditional western pattern of courses. Here's what it was:
Me:
1) Pork and Vegetable Gyoza (I know, it's technically Chinese, but the place that we go uses Japanese style and ingredients in everything.P
2) Misu Shiru
3) Tamago (x2)
4) Vegetable Tempura
Her:
1) Pork and Vegetable Gyoza (see above)
2) Clear Soup
3) Hibachi tenderloin
