The exchange of influences between what is now the CCCP and the Axis powers of WWII (primarily Germany and Japan) is certainly an interesting study. I would suggest that you include Russia for a clearer picture, because Stalin's influence over the CCCP during that period was substantial and he was a major factor in the conflicts between China and Japan before, during and after WWII. He also decided, or forced the decisions that decided much of the fate of Germany at the end of the war and afterward.
