I dunno, I think it's エリンの勉強 の手伝い, beacause they're saything the robot is Erin's study helper. Although listening to it again it sounds more like you're right lol. I guess they just left off the する in お手伝いする

In 日本語を勉強中, 勉強中 is a noun too, but you seemed ok about that
