Quoted for truth. I was working my way through Heisig over the summer, but being the impatient guy that I am, I usually managed to add 50 cards a day (that was way too much, btw.) and after a week or two, if I missed a day I'd have about 150 cards to review. Stay on top of it. Anki really is helpful, you just need to use it daily.
