The question is perfect but the answer contains some serious errors.
まだ上手です makes little to no sense. In fact, I, a native speaker, don't know what that means as it simply isn't said in Japanese.
If you MUST use まだ, you can say まだ上手ではありません, which means "I'm not good yet."
If you want to say, "I'm ok.", you can say まあまあです. 上手です is gramatically correct but we don't ever say 上手 about something we do ourselves. It can only be used to refer to something other people do.
In other words, we just don't say in Japanese, "I'm good at ~~~." This is a cultural thing that isn't about to change. It will make you look very bad if you say that.
然して???
Wonder how old a book or dictionary you're using. The vast majority of modern-day Japanese live their whole lives without ever using that word. Use でも or しかし or が.
話すのスピード が 遅いです. Drop the の.

「まあまあです。でも話すスピードが遅いです。」
More naturally, however:
「まあまあですが、あまり速く話せません。」
