thanks for the informative reply again kyle, and jesselt for the link to tae kim's site

in that website, tae kim mentioned that なので/ので implicitly states that the first part is the "reason" whereas だから/から explicitly states that the first part is the "reason"

also i would like to ask if in normal conversation (native japanese) is the implicitness of ので (as mentioned by tae kim) captured , or is ので merely used whenever the conversation is formal?
