Linking verbs - eg. 'I am sightseeing and playing' -

As far as I've managed to gather, you can't link verbs with と...correct?
I want to say in response to スペインで何をしていますか that I am sightseeing and playing (partying).
The sentence I came up with in my head was:
バルセロナで見物していると遊んでいる。
If と cannot be used, how would I modify my reply?
