I am certainly not a big wasabi fan either, but I find it to be much more manageable in little doses. It is when a big ol' glob of it is hiding itself in my sushi that I find it to be really unpleasant. Ironically enough though when I eat sashimi mixing just the right amount of it into my soy sauce dish adds great zing and none of the overpowering flavor that I dislike.
