Please help verify this exchange program is legit! - 03-19-2010, 06:13 PM

Hi Guys!

I found an post on craigslist yesterday asking for people to host international students in my state. The organization's name is CCI Exchange and their website is: CCI Center for Cultural Interchange | Greenheart Travel | Foreign Exchange Students, Work and Travel

It looks real enough, but I cannot find information on the "summer program" the post mentions and I also did a google search and found few results other than the original website and none of the results looked convincing... I want to make sure that someone can verify that it is a legitimate program before I give them any information! Here is the post I read:

"Looking for a rewarding, international experience?

I place international exchange students with local families through a non-profit company called CCI.
CCI represents kids aged 15 to 18 years old from over 50 countries worldwide! (Japan, Korea, Brazil, Spain, Germany, France ... etc, etc, etc).

Basically there are two programs :

(1) Summer placements - students come for 2 to 4 weeks.
(2) School placements - students come for either half or full years (10 mos) and attend local, public schools.

"Host Families" can be anyone - you just need to have suitable living arrangements and be open to sharing your home!
During the student's stay you will have full, personal support from the CCI staff.

If you have interest or questions about any of the programs, please e-mail me.
Please visit CCI's website for a more in-depth look : CCI Center for Cultural Interchange | Greenheart Travel | Foreign Exchange Students, Work and Travel

Thanks!

Mark"

So... can anyone verify that CCI Exchange is a real program??

Thanks in advance!
