Hi there,
I am planning for my first trip to Japan in April 2011.
I would like to do some bass fishing whilst in Japan but also
coincide my trip with the cherry blossoms as im sure they are
every bit as beautiful in real life as the photos,
I have a basic intinery done up but have a few questions
Day 1 - Osaka
Day 2 - Osaka
Day 3 - Kyoto
Day 4 - Kyoto
Day 5 - Mt Fuji
Day 6 - Nagano
Day 7 - Tokyo
Day 8 - Tokyo
i will get a JR Rail Pass and pay the last days train fare to the airport
I will book a days fishing from Otsu (near kyoto) and a day in tokyo Harbour
so i would only have one extra day in tokyo and kyoto.
am i trying to see too much of the country in say 8 days?
I would love to see the major temple/shrine attractions in kyoto and tokyo,
whilst osaka i would like to visit the aquarium, dotonburi and perhaps a trip to himeji castle.
Fuji is a must see i think, do i need a day there or is it more of a couple of hours on the way to tokyo
also Nagano is of interest to me, i would love to see the snow monkeys but perhaps seeing some snow (if its there in april)
and staying in a ryokan would be nice. Do you think Nagano is really worth seing as its a bit out of the way and im kind of cut short for time?
il be travelling alone and for the most part staying in cheaper accommodation,
im not the kind to sleep in of a morning either, il be up and at em early, getting the most of my time in Japan
any info or tips are much appreciated,
or even places i should be visiting that i havent listed,
(Miyajima Island, hiroshima etc..?)
Thankyou,
Ben
