Questions about Japan's health business - 04-16-2010, 08:06 PM

Hello, I've known this forum for a long time but never registered, but now I have a question that only you guys can answer. I already used the search function but my situation is quite special, so I couldn't find any answers.

I'm a brazilian-african (what we call "mulatos": something between black and white) transexual person, already assumed and I'm pretty enough to easily pass.

I'm studying nursing into a good university, have the money to go for a postgraduate education, I'm fluent at english and have the wealth to study whatever else I need.

The problem is: I met another transexual person, with an awesome curriculum, but can't get a job here thanks to homofobia. She's going to move to France and try her luck there.
And I don't plan staying into this crappy country, anyway.

Here's my question: would I be succesfull as a nurse (or even higher ranked professional) in Japan? I don't think that being a transexual would be a problem since I'll get the sex reassigment surgery soon, and change my documents.

I'm concerned because I'm brazilian (I've heard they have some kind of xenophonia against brazilians) AND I'm "black", although cute.

I want to know now if it's possible, so I would restart learning japanese to become fluent at their language in time.
If it isn't possible, then I would study french and travel to France, Canada, USA or whatever, just want to get the hell outta here. Japan's just my first choice.

Thanks for reading.
