I think this is natural and perfect.
If the OP wants it to be as polite as possible, you can add “お願い” at the biginning of the sentence.

お願い:
エアコンに自転車を立て掛けたり、上に物を置かないで ください。

“お願い” means “ATTENTION !” on translation, but the nuance of it would be a sort of “I have a faver to ask ”. And this would sound a little bit softer than without it when toward the neighbors , I think.
