Yes, I don't expect there to be a literal translation (and if there was, it probably wouldn't be what they'd use naturally).

More like how could I tell someone that I like anime/manga/etc without sounding like that it's my whole life? アニメやコンピュータが好む人 seems to me as a bit too long to be used in a conversation.

But of course if someone can tell me that it is actually the "recommended" way then I think it is what I'm looking for.
