Ok, thanks, but I'm still a little bit confused.

So it is basically the て form of an already existing て form?

疲れている is the continual state ている form of 疲れる, correct? So that would basically say 'I am tired’. But now you are applying a て form on top of that to create 疲れていて...this is where I am confused, what is the difference between 疲れている and 疲れていて?
