They were outplaying germany, they were losing. Their disallowed goal was such an huge influence that they lost because of it? Probably they didn't lose because of it, but it influenced the team negatively. As you can see if you watch the replay of the game. And that brought consequences.

This is where we just disagree. I dont know why you are continuing to argue with people because there is no way you are going to convince me that England outplayed Germany at all.
In fact most of the ENGLISH media will tell you that actually the English team were terrible and that Germany deserved to win. But you are entitled to your OWN opinion.
In fact here is an article in the New Zealand media which is about how the loss was handled in the British media.
