I was trying to tell you that it wasn't necessarily true. Actually, I am Japanese (American too)and my ancestors on my grandmother's side (she is deceased now) are from Aizu which supposed to be modern day Fukushima prefecture. Historically, the Aizu clan were under the Tokugawa shogunate and employed the famous group of warriors known as Shinsengumi. I haved lived in both of my cultures and I tell you the truth and experiences of both. I can tell you the ugly and good side about it. If you want to talk you can pm me.
