Been learning (Professionally at the university with a native teacher) since first semester. (February)
Can identify every hiragana/katakana and up to ~300 kanjis. Can make basic phrases.
A.1.2 Level. 
Too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like.
