My first interest in Japan started in the late 70s when I was a kid watching anime. When I got older I was fascinated by Tokyo as a big city. Having majored in Fashion and working as a Buyer I'm drawn to the clothing (from haute to street) and the shopping found in Japan. I have collected a number of books about traditional Japanese clothing and how to construct them. I am also interested in Japanese pottery. Sometimes I think I end up going back to Japan primarily for the food.
