I don't want to urge with a mod but i have to in this case
MMM do you know how long we the people in north america have to wait for a manga to be officially translated? mainly 1-2 years well the Japanese people have it weekly atleast for some mangas.

So many of them realizing that their hard-earned work is not appreciated by fans or by the actual creators and artists.

sadly you are wrong on that statement, it was first thanks to manga scanlators that brought mangas to north america in the middle of the 90s, around (1998-1999, 2000).

The work is appreciated by the fans, have you checked the forums of other manga fan sites?
The work of manga scanlators is a lot appreciated by the manga fans in eupore because of these reasons.
1.Finding and buying mangas in eupore is rare, and in most places its impossible.
2.People cant afford to buy mangas, because of the economy downturn which is still ongoing.
3.Only in a few countries in eupore, that mangas are actually selling but not a huge collection of it.
4.Because of these reasons the only option left for manga fans in eupore they turned to the internet cafes in there respected countries and went to the manga scanlators.
I remember when i was in greece in 2008, alot of people in this small town where they coudlnt buy a manga because of the location they went into a cafe and straght to a manga scanlators website.
my family friend who lives in greece, stated to me that's the only way young people can get there mangas but he did say once they travel to athens, they usually buy the manga which they have read on the net.
Heres a question for MMM to respond, a quote from somewhere

Will shutting down the comics and manga pirate sites boost sales in the publishing business, or will these efforts just result in alienating manga/comics' most devoted fans?

I will be waiting for a response.
