I translate Japanese to English, and I am a native English speaker. Ultimately, you want the target language to be translated by a native speaker most of the time, though there are some who are good enough to not do it. Most translators of manga into English are native speakers of English.

No, it isn't natural. It's translated from Japanese, so it would never be natural.

I think they are fine, but not ideal. I don't think Mariko is "just starting" so she should be looking at some more consistent sources. OEL manga is a good place to go.
