This is my first post, whoopie!
My name is Crystal, I''m 16 and from Washington State, USA. I have been studying Japanese on and off for years now, most of what I first learned has been forgotten...
I was actually first inspired to learn due to my love for Miyazaki films, the first of which was Majo no Takkyuubin, or Kiki's Delivery Service in English. At first I had thought it was a Disney film, as I had the Disney dubbed ver., but later learned this strange drawing style and the Studio logo at the beginning belonged to the Japanese animation studio, Ghibli. And it was that-and my drive make movies with Ghibli- that led me to want to study Japanese. I have taken no real classes, what I know is self taught. Anyone wanna help? =P
