I just ran a little math here. assuming the impossible that Japanese industry doesn't grow, even though internet, anime and games are all popularizing Jpop around the world, Assuming the impossible that Kpop grows consistently by 50% every year which has never happened in the entire history of the music world. It would take Kpop 9 years from now just to catch up to Jpop.

Realistically, Kpop will not catch up to Jpop in our life time. Maybe never.

formula: 16 = 0.5(1.5)^t -> t= ln(32)/ln(1.5) = 8.5
