They typical sort of person in the Job centre, to sign on, would be, what are known in Scotland as 'Neds', & I believe they're known as 'chavs' in England. They just hang about places, usually in white Adidas tracksuit trousers & matching top, or some other sports brand tracksuit jacket. They just hang about, do nothing & causing a bit of trouble. NEET's sound better as it sounds like they keep out people's way

Umm when my daughter was made redundant after working many years for a company that has now been taken over-- she tried desperately to find work-- She has now found a job but the wages are impossible for her to live on, she has several teenage girls living in her home, and those who are earning help towards the rent-- which is £1,300 a month. She does not earn anywhere near enough to pay all the rent apart from other costs. she has a disabled partner to also care for---

She has always worked extremely hard but working has made her less well able to survive

Not all job seekers don't want to work? Those who are not genuine need to have to volunteer and get involved in the community. She hated having to keep going to the job centre--------------It is degrading really having to queue for hours.

There are many jobless in this country-- and the govt. is not helping at all.

So much of our work goes overseas-- we have lost so much in manufacturing skills. Immigrants often take work for less pay-- which angers British workers.

Our system needs to ensure there are no layabouts and encourage and support businesses. We have lost so many Businesses to other countries especially telephone marketing in INdia etc, clothes from CHINA. so many of our big businesses have been taken over from abroad--------- Britain is Not what it used to be at all.
